About Us
Binded Word is a Christian family-owned small business located in the Baltimore, Maryland area. Our main purpose is to encourage, inspire and uplift God's people in their walk, and to provide unique ways for them to do the same for others.
Why is your name Binded Word?
As a small child, my parents raised me to recite a Bible verse after we asked the Lord to bless our food at dinner time. This tradition has followed me into my adult life and my marriage, and now my spouse and I will not take one bite until we say one Bible verse each. However, sometimes we struggle to remember a verse because it has been so long since we've read it. We decided that it would be helpful if we posted memory verses around the house as decoration and wore them on our shirts or as a message on a bracelet or necklace.
We were led to Deuteronomy 11:18, which says "Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads."
With this confirmation from God's Word, we decided to not only help ourselves, but other Christians to place God's Word in their minds so they can meditate on them day and night. Thus, Binded Word was born!
We also know that times have changed, but one thing that has not changed is love. Love is the best gift anyone can give or receive. We have devoted our mission to providing faith-based and personalized gifts that make it easy to express love in a variety of ways. Our motto is Encourage, Inspire, and Uplift, which is what real love does.
